„deka smak” is Poland’s first chain of self-service restaurants based on the new concept of selling food by weight. In 2002, the first restaurant (called “bar jubileuszowy”) was opened in Opole. More restaurants, called “BBB – bistro bar buffet,” were opened in 2006 and the following years. In 2009, the name “deka smak” was adopted for the entire chain.
The idea behind “deka smak” is to let customers themselves create meals from a choice of hot and cold food items available in the buffet. Thanks to this innovative approach to serving meals, the customer pays exactly the same price for 100 grams (0.22 lb) of loin of pork and 100 grams (0.22 lb) of salad (PLN 2.99). Once the meal is ready, the maximum wait time in the line is 5 minutes.
The guiding principle of the “deka smak” restaurant is delicious, fresh and affordable cuisine. Our menu was prepared with diversity in mind so that everyone is satisfied. It includes traditional grilled neck, fresh fish, dumplings, pancakes as well as a salad bar.
